Organizing museum internships and job practice for both Russian and international volunteers in the State Hermitage Museum, including the development of personal projects for the Volunteer Service; doing research; collecting, referencing, and analyzing information concerning projects; exploring the experience of being a volunteer and the development of projects connected with involving young people in the socio-cultural sphere.



Contests for Children

Putting together international contests for children involving creative work in the sphere of information technology.

The winners in the contest "Following in the footsteps of the Olympic Gods".
The winners in the contest of computer graphics and animation "On the Threshold of Discovery".


WHY - World Heritage & Youth

Dedicated to the role of world heritage in the social sphere, connecting young people with the treasures of cultural heritage, and creating a feeling of responsibility for its preservation.



Rosatom Volunteers in the State Hermitage

In the spirit of the ‘WHY’ project, the Volunteer Service of the State Hermitage and the state corporation Rosatom are providing students with the possibility to take part in the summer university ‘Rosatom Volunteers in the State Hermitage’. Participants in this educational program are invited to work in the museums of Saint-Petersburg and the surrounding area, to familiarize themselves with new projects in cultural and artistic spheres, conducting round tables with presenters from social and cultural organizations, and also developing and presenting team projects with the aim of illuminating the educational role of cultural heritage.

The International Summer University in Kaliningrad

Preparation of the program ‘The International Summer University’ in Kaliningrad in the spirit of the ‘WHY’ project consisting of themed discussions which demonstrate the importance of world cultural heritage for young people.
